Amir Mortada, the general supervisor of football at Zamalek club, confirmed his total rejection of holding matches for the team during the international agenda for the teams next October.

Amir Mortada said on his club channel, “The five-year committee is mandated by the International Federation to manage the competition, and it will certainly take into account FIFA’s requirements regarding interruptions due to the international agenda during the period from 7 to 15 October, and it is assumed that no matches will be held in the league in order to achieve equal opportunities.”

He added, “Al-Ahly has decided the league title, but there are other clubs like Zamalek whose interests are harmed, and there are those competing for the relegation, and we are competing for second place to participate in the Champions League in the new season, so we will need all our players, and it is not fair to face a full team without the internationals.”

He pointed out, “Any element that will be absent from Zamalek will cause a problem. I ask the Football Association to solve the matter just as it has found solutions to complete the league, although it was not logical to complete the competition by numbers, and we recorded our objection and then we accepted.”

He stressed, “We have rights that we will not waive from them. We want to know during the international suspension in October. What are the solutions? How do we go to two matches in the league without Ferjani Sassi and Ashraf Bencharkii? The Football Association must help us and help himself and solve the matter, especially once the international suspension period ends, we will be related.” With the Raja match on the 18th and travel to Morocco five days before.

Amir Mortada continued, “We do not understand, we want clarifications, I speak calmly and with taste. We want an official response and not media talks via TV programs or (Talasen).”

He concluded his remarks, “We previously sent a letter to the Football Association to inquire about some medical matters after changing the swab to Rapid Test, and we have not received a response yet.”
