FilGoal | News | Liverpool announces that Alcantara has been infected with Corona

English club Liverpool announced that Spaniard Thiago Alcantara had been infected with the Corona virus.

According to a statement by the English club, “the player showed minor symptoms, but he is in good health and is improving.”

The newcomer will be subject to home isolation according to medical guidelines.

Jim Moxon, the club’s doctor, told the official Reds website: “It is everyone’s choice whether to publicly disclose the result of the Coronavirus test.”

“We have followed all the protocol and Thiago is fine. He will isolate himself now according to the instructions and we hope that he will come back with us soon.”

Alcantara was eliminated from the list of the Liverpool and Arsenal match at the end of the third round of the English Premier League, which ended with the Reds winning 3-1.

Alcantara, 29, participated for only 45 minutes against Chelsea in the second round of the English Premier League since joining from Bayern Munich.

The Premier League has reported 10 cases of coronavirus in the competition teams. (See the details)
