Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is looking to write a new page in the history of his club when he faces Arsenal on Monday.

Premier League champions Liverpool host Arsenal in the third round of the competition.

Salah started the season by scoring three “hat-trick” goals against Leeds United at Anfield, and can reach a record that no player has achieved in the ranks of Liverpool since Fernando Torres in the 2007-2008 season, when he scored a hat-trick in two consecutive league matches at Anfield.

The Spaniard scored three goals against Middlesbrough and then against West Ham United, and Jack Palmer was the only one to achieve this feat for the Reds, in November 1946.

It is noteworthy that Arsenal is one of Salah’s favorite opponents, as he played 8 matches against the artillery, in which he scored 6 goals and scored 4.

If the Egyptian international scored three goals against Arsenal on Monday, he would reach the 100th goal for Liverpool since his move to him in the summer of 2017.

So far, Salah has scored 97 goals for Liverpool in 155 games in all competitions.

And if he hits the net with 3 new goals, he will enter the 100 club of Liverpool, in which there are 17 players, according to the club’s website.

If Salah scored his three expected goals in the next nine matches, he would be the third fastest player in the history of the Reds to reach the 100 club, in 164 games.

Froger Hunt scored his 100 goals in 144 games as the fastest player to reach this figure, while Jack Parkinson reached the same number in 153 matches, while Robbie Fowler and Ben Raybould scored it in 165 games.

Salah started the competition for the Golden Boot award for the Premier League scorer early, as he scored 3 goals that put him in fourth place in the scorers’ ranking so far.

Last season’s top scorer, Jamie Vardy, Leicester City striker, is in the lead with Everton’s Dominic Calvert Leeuwen, with 5 goals in 3 games, and Tottenham’s Heung Min Son comes behind them with 4 goals.
