A source from within Al-Ahly club revealed that Ramy Rabia’s injury, the heart of the team’s defense, is a tear in the back muscle, after he left the stadium in the last minutes of the game against Tanta in the 30th round of the Egyptian We League, on Saturday evening, and he will be absent for 6 weeks.
The source – who declined to be named – said in his statements to “Yalla Koura” that Rami Rabia’s injury after undergoing a medical diagnosis is a tear in the posterior muscle, and the length of his absence from the stadium will be determined based on the player’s condition.
Initial reports indicate that the defender’s absence from the matches will extend for six weeks, which means that he will not be able to catch up with the African Champions League matches.
Al-Ahly will play next Wednesday in front of Arsenal in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup, and then return to the league matches, where it will continue preparing for the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly faces Wydad Casablanca in the semi-finals of the Champions League, where it plays outside the ground in the first leg of October 17th, and the return will be the 23rd of the same month.
