Macron announces communication with Putin and Trump to prevent Turkish intervention in the Karabakh crisis

French President Emmanuel Macron announced today, Wednesday, the intervention to prevent Turkey from interfering in the crisis in the Karabakh region, which is disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Macron added that Turkey’s statements on Karabakh are dangerous and I intend to communicate with Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump on the matter.

Turkey had made several statements through the spokesman, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), and the Minister of Defense, to affirm Turkey’s standing by Azerbaijan in the crisis that occurred on both sides of the Nagorno Karabakh region and the fall of two Azerbaijani helicopters.

“We strongly condemn Armenias attack on Azerbaijan,” Omar Celik, the spokesman for the ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey, said on his Twitter account. And Armenia is playing with fire and endangering regional peace. ”

Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said what Armenia did on Twitter as well, and said: “Armenia violated the ceasefire by attacking civilian settlements. The international community must intervene and immediately order an end to this dangerous provocation. ”

For his part, the Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, issued statements condemning what he called the Armenian attack, stressing that his country stood by Azerbaijan in defending its territorial integrity.
