English press reports revealed that the English club, Manchester City, has agreed with Benfcia of Portugal to include Portuguese defender Robin Diaz during the current summer transfer period.

The English newspaper “Telegraph” reported that Manchester City will pay 55 million euros to join Dias, with defender Newlas Otamendi joining Benfica for 15 million euros as part of the deal.

The newspaper added that Diaz will sign a five-year contract with Pep Guardiolas team, while Otamendi will join Benfica in a three-year deal, after five seasons at the Etihad stadium.

The 23-year-old will travel to Manchester to undergo a medical examination, to become City’s second defense support this summer, after the Dutch signing Nathan Aky from Bournemouth.

Diaz is one of Benficas youths and has played 19 international matches for his country, and was chosen as the best player in Portugal’s victory over the Netherlands in the 2019 European Nations League final.

It is reported that City’s contract with Diaz may mean that the heavenly club will allow defender Eric Garcia to move to Barcelona, ​​as the Spanish club seeks to restore its young player in order to strengthen its ranks in the new season.
