At the “Philippe Chatrier” stadium, the historic stadium of the Roland Garros championship, a match is being held between Mayar Sharif, the Egyptian tennis national, against the Czech Karolina Pleshkova.
Mayar became the first Egyptian to qualify for the final round of the Roland Garros Open tennis tournament, after beating American Katrina McNally 2-0.
Mayar is the first Egyptian female player to participate in the main role of Roland Garros, one of the four tournaments of the Grand Slam series.
It is noteworthy that Mayar Sharif has reserved her ticket for the Tokyo Olympics, scheduled for next year, after winning the gold in the African Games.
