Pitso Mosimane, former coach of Sundowns, stated that he will have a new experience in his coaching life that will take him to a new level, saying that he will start working from October 2.
Musimani said in a recorded video that he posted on social media: “I would like to express my happiness that I agreed to an offer to train a new team starting October 2, 2020, this offer came from a team wishing to search for more championships.”
He added, “Despite my deep love for Sundowns, but life has brought me a new challenge, after nearly 8 years of working in Sundowns and achieving 11 championships, but I need a new experience to take me out of the area I’m used to.”
He added, “Although there are 4 additional years in my contract with Sundowns, this great opportunity would not have come if I had not been part of Sundowns who won the African Champions League.”
He concluded, “I received an offer that will take me to a new level, and I have already received this offer and satisfied the management of Sundowns, so I would like to thank the president for my time at the club, the great support I got, and the success that came from teamwork.”
Musimane is expected to move to the leadership of Al-Ahly starting next October, after the departure of Swiss Rene Fyler.
