Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, has been ranked among the best-marketed athletes in the world for 2020, while Lionel Messi, the legend and captain of Barcelona, ​​ranked first.

The Egyptian star Mohamed Salah was able to reserve his place among the top 10 stars in the world, according to the American “Sports Pro” website, and came in ninth place, surpassing Argentine Paulo Dybala, the Italian Juventus star, who ranked tenth.

Lionel Messi, a six-time Ballon d’Or winner, surpassed his Portuguese rival Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Juventus, to occupy the top spot in the SportsPro list of the 50 best athletes around the world in marketing terms in 2020.

The list of the top five was completed in the third, fourth and fifth places, respectively, after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, by American basketball star LeBron James, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu.

Sports Pro explained that the list of top athletes was chosen based on several criteria, most notably social campaigns, helping sponsors achieve maximum impact, social follow-up, and fan base growth over time.

He added that the list was chosen after following more than 6000 athletes from 21 different games on the social networking site “Instagram” over a period of 12 months.
