Swiss coach Rene Weiler, Al-Ahly coach, is close to leaving the team on the first of next October.
Masrawy learned from a source in the Al-Ahly club that Fyler decided to travel to his country after the Arsenal match in the round of 16 in the Egypt Cup, scheduled for September 30.
Fyler’s travel to Switzerland at this time came against the desire of the Al-Ahly administration headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, which refused to travel the coach, or to sign a pledge to return, which the coach refused.
The source confirmed to Masrawy that Al-Ahly administration is waiting for Fyler to travel to thank him on the first of October.
The contract concluded between Al-Ahly and Fyler stipulates that the contract can be terminated without a penalty clause during the period from the first of October until the tenth of the same month.
Al-Ahly is waiting for a difficult confrontation against Moroccan Wydad during the month of October in the semi-finals of the African Champions League, while the red team won the league championship for the 42nd time in its history.
Al-Ahly management began communicating with Khalifa Fyler, where the name of Mohamed Youssef, the former coach of the team, who won the 2013 CAF Champions League with Al-Ahly, worked as an assistant with Martin Lasarte before Fyler came.
The Italian site “inews24” also mentioned that Al-Ahly had requested a contract with Luciano Spalletti, to lead the team during the next stage.
Spalletti was one of the candidates to lead Al-Ahly before hiring Rene Fyler, to renew negotiations and reach an advanced stage between the two parties.
Valeria Cardillo, a journalist for the Italian “Punto Novo” radio, told “Yallakora” that advanced negotiations had already brought together representatives of Al-Ahly and the Italian coach in recent days, and Spalletti wanted to embark on a new adventure of its kind in his coaching career.
A source close to Imad Al-Nahhas, the coach of the Arab Contractors team, said that he had received calls from Al-Ahly club to seek his opinion on his presence in the new technical staff.
In his statements, the source said that Al-Nahhas welcomed the position of General Coach in Al-Ahly, on the condition that the next technical director is a foreigner, which paves the way for work in the Spalletti apparatus.
