The Appellant Misdemeanor Court of Dokki in Egypt accepted the appeal submitted by the artist, Muhammad Ramadan, to a one-year imprisonment sentence for accusing him of insulting and defaming the pilot Abu Al-Yusr, and his innocence.
The ruling came after the Dokki Misdemeanor Court issued a ruling late last Thursday evening to imprison the artist Mohamed Ramadan for a year and bail 10 thousand pounds and a fine of 20 thousand pounds, in accusing him of publishing videos on the “Internet” website that insulted and offended pilot Ashraf Abu Al-Yusr, known in the media as “The arrested pilot.”
Lawyer Magdy Helmy filed a lawsuit against the artist, Mohamed Ramadan, for publishing videos exploiting the Internet in a way that leads the public and public opinion to prejudice and offend the reputation, honor and prestige of the pilot Ashraf Abu Al-Yusr, and that he claimed that he demanded an amount of 9 million and a half million, and mocked him while filming one of his works.
