The Giza Drinking Water and Sewerage Company said that due to the Greater Cairo Reconstruction Authority carrying out the works of diverting two drinking water lines with diameters of 500 mm and 300 mm which impede the work of implementing the Zumur Canal axis below the Nahia Bridge and connecting to the 800 mm diameter water line existing within the ongoing national projects In Giza governorate, which results in cutting water in several areas.
The company added, in a statement, that the service was cut off from the areas (Bulaq Al-Dakrour – Ard Al-Liwaa) for a period of 8 hours, starting from 10 p.m. on Wednesday 9/30/2020 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, 10/1-2020.
The company called on the owners of bakeries and hospitals to provide for their water needs during the mentioned period.
