Medhat Youssef, the former vice president of the Petroleum Authority, said that Egypt has made a big leap in natural gas production, during the recent period, and that gas has been relied on in power plants, instead of diesel.

Youssef added, during a telephone interview with the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program broadcast on the “Al-Hayat” channel today, Sunday, that the great surplus in Egypt’s production of diesel that was used in power plants was converted into high-value petroleum products such as gasoline, gasoline, diesel, sulfur and petroleum coke from During oil refineries, pointing to his expectations that Egypt will export gasoline and jet fuel in 2023.

He pointed out that there is another plan, similar to the Egyptian Refining Company’s project in the Mostorod area in Greater Cairo, to establish new refining factories in Assiut, the Red Sea and Ain Sokhna.
