Moroccan newspapers highlighted the Al-Ahly club’s contract with the South African coach Pitso Musimane to succeed the Swiss Rene Fyler for two seasons, after the coach agreed to lead the Red Genie despite the remaining 4 seasons in his contract with the team, as he was singled out “The Seventh Day”, to arrive in Cairo on Friday To formally take over the task to succeed the current Swiss coach Rene Fyler, and the interest of the Moroccan press came before the upcoming clash between Al-Ahly and Moroccan Wydad in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
The tournament website said in its title: “Musimani arrives in Cairo on Friday” to finalize his contract with Al-Ahly.
While “360 Sport” said: “Musimane faces Wydad in the Champions League semi-finals,” referring to the coach taking over Al-Ahly’s leadership before facing the Moroccan champion.
Al-Ahly will be a guest to Wydad on October 17th in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals. The Red Devils will receive the Moroccan champion on the 23rd of the same month in the second leg.
