Rodolfo Martin Aruabarina was born in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on July 20, 1975

He played as a left back with Boca Juniors, who started his career with emerging teams.

During his career as a player, he started with the Boca Juniors first team from 1993 to 2000, during which he spent a loan spell at Rosario Central.

In 2000, he moved to Villarreal, Spain, and continued with the team until 2007 and concluded his career with short experiences in AEK Athens, Greece, Tigre of Argentina and Universidad Catolica of Chile until his retirement in 2010.
