“Youth and Sports” implements online courses on reproductive health and a sports day for Syrian expatriates


The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Central Administration for Projects and Youth Training – General Administration of Training) concluded the activities of the Basics of Detail Course, which was implemented at the Obour Youth Center in Qalyubia Governorate, over a period of four days, with the participation of 20 girls, within the framework of cooperation programs with the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA.In the context of cooperation between the Ministry and the Fund, a sports day was implemented and protection bags were distributed to Syrian expatriates and Egyptian citizens at the Sheikh Zayed Youth Center in Giza Governorate, as part of the activities of integrating Syrian expatriates into Egyptian society.

In the field of reproductive health programs, the first interactive “online” courses were organized, which will continue until September 4, and deal with adolescent health, family planning, gender-based violence and child marriage.

Youth of both genders in the ages from 18 to 35 years old participate in the courses, as well as the beneficiaries of the population clubs in each of the governorates (Assiut, Sohag, Red Sea, Kafr El Sheikh, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Beni Suef, New Valley and Qalyubia), which aim to raise youth awareness And girls’ issues of population and reproductive health, and activating their role in achieving the state’s population strategy.
