Hamada Anwar, a member of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, revealed that his club is able to sign a contract with Ramadan Sobhi, a professional in the ranks of the English Huddersfield team.
“From a financial point of view, Zamalek is able to enter into the Ramadan Sobhi deal,” Anwar added in remarks on MBC Egypt.
He continued: “The decision maker remains the coach, Patrice Carteron, as the coach of the team and has his technical opinion, but Zamalek club is financially able to sign a contract with Ramadan Sobhi.”
He continued: “If Zamalek wanted to negotiate with Ramadan Sobhi, he would negotiate with him, but the contract with Ramadan will cause a crisis within the team because of his high contract.”
Ramadan Sobhi has played for Al-Ahly on loan since January 2019 from the English club Huddersfield, where the Red Club tried to obtain the player’s services permanently.
Amir Tawfiq, director of the Al-Ahly club’s contracting committee, announced the failure of negotiations with Ramadan Sobhi, after the latter expressed his desire to move to the Pyramids ranks, starting next season.
A member of Zamalek’s board of directors went on to talk about his club’s position on his complaint against Walid Suleiman, the Al-Ahly player, to reveal: “The Zamalek board of directors issued an official statement, and the decision must be respected, and it will be a complaint as long as the council issued an official statement.”
The board of directors of the Zamalek club, headed by Mortada Mansour, issued an official statement announcing that an official complaint had been filed against Al-Ahly player Walid Suleiman, after he interfered on the player Mohamed Abdel Shafi, so that the latter sustained a fracture of the collarbone.
On the upcoming match between Zamalek and Pyramids, Anwar explained his opinion, saying: “Zamalek is a high heel over Pyramids despite the influential absence of Tariq Hamed, but certainly Patrice Carteron has alternatives and will use them well.”
Zamalek will face its opponent Pyramids tomorrow, Thursday, at the top of the 24th week of the Egyptian We League competition.
It is worth noting that Zamalek ranks third in the ranking table with 42 points, three points behind Pyramids, who is in second place, in contrast, Al-Ahly tops the table with 62 points.
