Moments full of terror, experienced by 13 women on board a Qatar Airways plane, on their way from Doha to Sydney, Australia, in early October.

The story began when the administration of Hamad International Airport in Doha found a baby lying inside the toilet, repeated cries without an answer, which prompted the Qatari authorities at the airport to search for the mother of the infant among the female plane passengers, following a “humiliating” method with them, according to their description, through Forcing them to be naked for the sake of examination and inspection.

A 60-year-old woman named “Kim Mills” said that she was insulted, as she was surprised to allocate ambulances inside the airport to conduct examination on the women on board the flight, in order to make sure that one of them had gone through a recent birth or not.

She added that she waited for the plane to take off for 3 hours, explaining that she was sleeping, before someone woke her up and asked her to leave the plane, and asked the Qatari police to speak to her, which made her panic, and as soon as she saw the ambulance, she expected that the matter might be related to the emerging corona virus, According to the British newspaper “The Guardian”.

“Mills”, who was not aware of the reason for taking them out of the plane before taking off and why an ambulance was prepared, added that she asked one of the passengers, after leaving the ambulance in tears, what happened inside, to tell her the story of finding the baby and the authorities’ attempt to reach his mother who left him in the toilet.

The sixty-year-old woman indicated that she was the only one who was not subjected to examination, due to her age, which is not logical to allow her to have children, explaining that she was almost subject to examination, but when an officer saw her, he refused to bring her into the ambulance and allowed her to leave.

“Mills” confirmed that after the women were subjected to examination and interrogation, they were allowed to return to the plane, confirming that they were stunned, describing what they had been subjected to as a terrifying thing.

What did the Australian government do?

Marys Payne, Australian Foreign Minister, said Monday that the Australian government had received a report from these women at the time of the incident, and that the Australian government had discussed the matter with the Qatari ambassador to Australia.

Pine indicated that the Australian government is awaiting a report from the Qatari authorities investigating the incident, at the end of this week.

In a previous report, the Australian government indicated that the Qatari authorities’ treatment of women did not allow them to consciously give their consent to this procedure, and indicated that the incident had been transferred to the Australian Federal Police.

What about the baby?

According to Australian Radio, Qatar’s Hamad Airport issued a statement, through which it clarified that the infant has not been identified yet, and he is receiving health care during the current time.

The statement indicated that the doctors are concerned about the health condition of the woman who gave birth to that baby, and the airport demanded to find this woman in order to deport her.
