An explosion was heard this evening, Friday, in the Abu Shaker neighborhood in the Tarik Al Jadida area in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The local “LBC” channel reported that the explosion was caused by an explosion of a diesel tank at the bottom of a building in the Tariq Al-Jadidah area, and it led to a fire in the building, cracking it and damaging a number of neighboring buildings.
Civil defense teams went to Mahalla to work to extinguish the fire.
This explosion comes more than a month after the Beirut port explosion, which led to hundreds of deaths and the displacement of hundreds of thousands.
