Amidst Sevilla’s interest, Chelsea are ready to loan Kepa

European reports said today, Thursday, that Chelsea is ready to agree to a loan from Spaniard Kepa Arizabalaga during the upcoming winter transfer period.

Kepa joined Chelsea at the beginning of the 18/19 season from Athletic Bilbao, to compensate for the departure of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid.

According to “The Sun” newspaper, Seville is interested in the Kepa loan, adding that Chelsea are willing to allow the Spanish goalkeeper to leave on loan.

Chelsea had contracted with Senegalese goalkeeper Rennes Eduard Mendy during the last summer transfer period after the disastrous mistakes of Kiba, which cost the team many games.

And Mendy became the main goalkeeper for the Blues, and the injury he suffered with his country caused Kepa to return to the Chelsea goalkeeper and cost the team losing points against Southampton in the fifth round of the Premier League championship, where the match ended in a 3-3 positive draw.

Reports also indicated that Kepa had become a third choice in the accounts of Chelsea coach Frank Lampard, adding that Willie Cabero would have guarded the blues’ den in their European match against Seville if Mindy had not been ready.

It is worth noting that Chelsea was forced to register Peter Cech (retired) as the fourth goalkeeper in the list of the team that participate in the Premier League in anticipation of the conditions resulting from the Corona virus.
