Amir Mortada Mansour, General Supervisor of the Zamalek football team, thanked his players for having proven their personality in the Moroccan Raja Casablanca match.
Zamalek managed to return from Morocco by defeating Raja with an unanswered goal in a meeting held at the “Mohammed V Sports Complex” stadium in Casablanca, within the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League competition.
Amir Mortada added in remarks on the “Zamalek” screen late today, Sunday: “Mortada Mansour supported the players after the Saturday lecture despite the war that Mortada is exposed to.”
He continued: “We have the second leg and we want to win it as well, and there is no party that will destabilize Zamalek. We have a dream with the fans.”
Regarding the absence of more than one prominent member, perhaps the most prominent of whom is Ferjani Sassi, he said: “As long as a player in the Zamalek club, you must die, and Zamalek is big with his fans and his boss.”
Regarding Ferjani Sassi’s position on the second leg, he explained: “Sassi will undergo a new smear and if the sample comes negative, he will be ready for the return match.”
He ended: “Hazem Imam and Mahmoud Alaa, the technical staff refused to be pushed for not risking them, and the fate of the duo will be determined from the return match after returning to Egypt.”
Zamalek is scheduled to play again against Raja next Saturday in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League competition.
