Al-Ahly club made special medical procedures against first-team trio Yasser Ibrahim, Hamdi Fathy and Ali Lotfi, before heading to Morocco to play the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

According to what was reported to El-Ahly.comThis step comes in accordance with the requests of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from the clubs participating in the semi-finals of continental competitions this season, which witnessed a long hiatus due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The African Union called on all clubs, including Al-Ahly, to perform specific medical analyzes for players who had previously been infected with the Coronavirus, in addition to the medical swab that they would undergo with the rest of their colleagues.

It is reported that Hamdi Fathi had been infected with the Coronavirus before the resumption of the current season in August, while Ali Lotfi and Yasser Ibrahim were infected with the virus during the team camp in Burj Al Arab in preparation for facing Al Ittihad of Alexandria in the general league.

In the same context, Al-Ahly will conduct the second medical swab before facing Wydad today, Tuesday, after the team underwent the first swab last Sunday before the Pyramids meeting, while the third medical swab will take place next Thursday.

The Al-Ahly club mission headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib will fly at 4 pm today, Tuesday, on a private plane to Morocco, where the Red Genie mission is expected to arrive in Casablanca in the evening in preparation for entering a closed camp.

Al-Ahly will be a guest at 9 pm next Saturday at the Mohamed V complex stadium at Wydad in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals, while the return match will be held on 23 October.
