A number of art stars appeared with attractive views on the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the El Gouna Film Festival in its fourth session, which was launched under the slogan “Man and Dream”, among them, Menna Shalaby, Yasmine Sabry, Amina Khalil, Aisha Bin Ahmed, Kinda Alloush, Nasreen Tafesh, Basma, Ghinwa Mahmoud, Bushra.

He also made sure to be present from the first minute of the opening ceremony, the artist Samir Sabry, Aser Yassin and his wife and two sons, director Amir Ramses, the artist Heba El-Sisi, the journalist Hilda Khalifa, Mustafa Darwish, Omar Al-Saeed.

The opening night will witness the screening of the movie “The Man Who Sold His Back” by Tunisian director Kawthar Ben Haniyeh, which premiered internationally at the Venice Festival after it was shown in the “Horizons” section, where the hero of the film, Yahya Mahaini, won the Best Actor award, and the film also won the Adebo King Award for inclusion, which is A prize inspired by the principles of social cooperation.

It is a film directed by Kawthar, who participated in it as a project in the development phase two years ago at the El Gouna Film Platform in the second edition of the El Gouna Film Festival, and it is screened and directed by Kawthar Ben Haniyeh, starring Yahya Mahaini, international star Monica Bellucci, Dia Elian, Queen de Bou

The film depicts the journey of the Syrian young man, Sam Ali, who immigrated to Lebanon, fleeing the ongoing war in Syria. In one of the art galleries, he meets “Geoffrey Godfra”, the most famous artist in the field of contemporary art, and they reach a strange agreement of its kind, to be painted on the back. Sam “made him a living work of art, in exchange for a visa to travel to meet his girlfriend in Belgium.”
