The Canadian authorities have launched a campaign targeting the execution of hundreds of thousands of mink animals due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in several fur farms for this animal.

And the Danish veterinary authorities stated that the animals will be exterminated in 150 farms during a process that will last for months, while local media said that the total number of animals that will be culled is more than a million and a half.

And the government said on October 1 that it planned to cull up to one million mink animals in fur farms, to prevent further spread of the new Corona virus.

The government is concerned about the transmission of the virus between mink and humans after cases of this type emerged in the Netherlands earlier this year.
