Brazilian star Neymar will miss the next three matches of Paris Saint-Germain, due to the injury he suffered last Wednesday in his team’s match against Turkish Basaksehir (2-0).
The official website of “Radio Monte Carlo” Sports stated, “The Brazilian, who tried to continue the match before requesting a replacement (in the 26th minute), underwent an MRI scan that showed a torn parietal muscle.”
Neymar will not be ready to play until the scheduled international break in the middle of next month, and he will therefore miss two matches in the French League, against Nantes next Saturday, and Rennes on the seventh of next November, in addition to the German confrontation with Leipzig, next Wednesday in the third round of the Champions League.
The absence of Neymar is a painful blow to his German coach Thomas Tuchel, who suffers from the injury of many key players in the Saint-Germain squad, most notably the Italian Marco Verratti, Argentine Mauro Icardi, Leandro Paredes, German Julian Draxler and Spain’s Juan Bernat.
Neymar scored two goals this season and scored four more goals.
