Ashraf Ibrahim, Egypt’s ambassador to Morocco, expressed his happiness with the meeting he had with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president, Al-Ahly, head of the first team football mission in Morocco, during the visit that Al-Khatib made to the ambassador on Friday evening, before the upcoming confrontation that brought Al-Ahly with his counterpart Wydad tomorrow evening, Saturday, in the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

The Egyptian ambassador in Morocco affirmed his deep pride in honoring Al-Khatib and giving him the shield and the club’s flag, stressing that Al-Ahly is an honorable facade, and that Al-Khatib is a prominent personality and is respected by everyone, explaining that coordination with Al-Ahly for the Morocco trip began long ago, and that the embassy made all possible efforts with the concerned authorities in Morocco. To facilitate the mission’s mission, by coordinating with all officials to secure everyone’s movements, and to check on accommodation, transportation means and other arrangements.

In statements to the official website of Al-Ahly, the ambassador pointed out that the past days witnessed arrangements at the highest level in terms of medical and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all members of the team, and stressed the continuation of all efforts on the part of the Egyptian embassy in Morocco to provide all means of comfort for the Al-Ahly mission until its departure and return to Cairo. He wished success to Al-Ahly in tomorrow’s match.
