Al-Ahly football director Sayed Abdel Hafeez explained the position of Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the team’s wing, to participate in the Moroccan Wydad meeting in the African Champions League next Friday.
Kahraba missed the semi-final first-leg match, which ended with Al-Ahly winning 2-0 at its host, due to injury, but he was with the team to Morocco.
“Kahraba is close to announcing his readiness to be present in the technical accounts for the Moroccan Wydad match,” Abdel Hafeez said in statements to Al-Ahly’s media system.
He added that the player is doing very well in implementing his qualifying program, and is very close to returning to group training.
Kahraba had complained of pains in the back muscle during his participation in the Pyramids Championship match.
Abdel Hafeez believes that Kahraba will be close to joining the team’s list in the next Wydad match, according to the vision of the coaching staff led by Pitso Mosimane, if he recovered completely from the injury, and in light of the process of preparing him that is very well done.
And if Al-Ahly, the record holder in the tournament with eight coronations, qualifies for the final, he will face Zamalek or Raja.
Zamalek beat his opponent Raja with a free goal in the first leg in Morocco.
The Moroccan team will host next Saturday in the second leg.
