An Ismaili source told FiGoal.com: “There is no truth to the news indicating that Babel was exposed to a chronic injury, and that it caused him not to complete his contract with Zamalek and Saudi Cooperation.”
He continued, “The player was followed up by the contracting committee in many matches, and we learned about the history of his participation, all of which confirmed the correctness of his choice.”
And he added, “Babel will be a strong addition to the Dervish offensive line, because of its goal-scoring capabilities.”
He concluded, “The Contracting Committee is proceeding with the utmost precision in its work and choices to settle on the best and will not accept any player who does not benefit the team.”
Ari Babel, the 26-year-old Angolan winger, played in the ranks of the first Angolan August, and had previously played in the Portuguese Sporting Lisbon jersey and appeared with the B team.
Babel participated in 11 matches in the CAF Champions League this season and scored two goals.
Babel had approached the formal joining of Zamalek, and the completion of the contract was dismissed, then he moved to Saudi cooperation a month ago before joining the dervishes.
