Hossam Ashour joined Al Ittihad of Alexandria for two seasons in a free transfer deal, after his contract with Al-Ahly ended.
Ashour said on Ontime Sports 2: “Al-Ittihad is a big and ancient club, no less than clubs like Al-Ahly and Zamalek.”
He stressed, “Al-Ittihad of Alexandria has a great popularity and a respectable board of directors, and this appeared in the negotiation.”
“The negotiations started three or four days ago, and Ibrahim Hassan spoke to me that there will be a meeting between us on Sunday,” he added.
“I will train under the leadership of Hussam Hassan and Ibrahim Hassan, and they are of great value and stature, and among my wishes was the training under their leadership,” Ashour added.
“The team has one last game of the season in the league, after which I will join the training,” he explained.
He concluded his remarks, “I will be present with Al-Ittihad in the Egypt Cup matches, God willing.”
