Al-Jaysh won two consecutive wins for the first time in the current season of the tournament after Samir, a former Zamalek player and the former interior, broke the steadfastness of the relegated team in the second division.
Al-Jaysh rose to tenth place in the league standings and raised its tally to 41 points, while the balance of Masr Club stopped at 21 points and continued in 17th place.
Talaea El-Guish hosts Al-Ahly team in the last round, while Masr Club plays its host Smouha.
The two clubs may meet in the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup if the Egyptian team eliminates defending champion Zamalek.
Masr will play Zamalek in the quarter-finals, and the winner faces Talaa El-Geish in the semi-finals.
