Sunday’s match Al-Fateh Rabati is the last test for Wydad before facing Al-Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals next Saturday in Morocco.
The Moroccan Le360 Sport website stated that Wydad will face Al-Fateh without the Ivorian Sheikh Brahima Kumara, Ayoub Al-Amloud and Sofiane Karkash due to the injury.
Ashraf Dary will be absent because his name was dropped from the team list during the second half of the season.
Haitham Al Bahjah and Mohamed Al-Seedani will be absent for technical reasons, while Kazadi Kasengo will be absent for his commitment to the two friendly matches for the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the international suspension.
Wydad’s victory and rivals Raja – Zamalek’s rival in the African Champions League – stumbled against the Royal Army, which would grant Wydad the league title.
Raja has 57 points, compared to 56 for Wydad and 54 for Nahdet Berkane.
Which means that Wydad’s victory in the last round over the Royal Army will give him the Moroccan League title without regard to the results of his rivals.
