Al-Ahly was seeking to join Sereno from the Sun Downs last January, but the player renewed his contract with the South African team.
“Sereno is a very good player and matches the skills of South American players, and Al-Ahly did not sign players from South America earlier,” said Kavin Johnson, during an interview with “The Third Audience” program broadcast on “On Time Sports 2”.
He concluded: “Al-Ahly has a special vision if it will benefit him or not, and Musimani is following him and will take a position on his inclusion, but this will be after a while.”
Johnson is scheduled to join the assistant to the new coach of Al-Ahly club Pitso Mosimane in the next few days.
