He added: “The Israeli enemy was pushing elements of its affiliates wearing military police uniforms, so we were aware of that and we were changing the color of the military police insignia on a daily basis, in contrast to the red badges common to the military police forces. Indeed, many of the elements of the Israeli enemy were captured before the start of the battle.” “.
Heikal pointed out that: “The zero hour began at two oclock on the sixth of October, and I was tasked with opening corridors for the forces that crossed to the east of the canal by boats and amphibious vehicles. The way to make bridges
Major General “Heikal” proudly remembers the heroism of the martyr Major Muhammad Muhammad Zard, saying: “He was the commander of one of the companies in charge of crossing bridges, and when he saw elements of the enemy forces sitting in one of the trenches, he set off towards them pointing the barrel of a half-inch cannon, and jumped from the boat that was carrying him.” On the eastern mainland of the canal and faster by blocking the fire energy with his back, in order to protect the forces assigned to cross, to obtain martyrdom alone in defense of his colleagues and his homeland, and this officer was from one of the villages of Dakahlia Governorate.
Major General Syed Ali Heikal concluded his speech to “Masrawy”, saying: “The Egyptian army captured hundreds, and I was tasked with transporting prisoners by vehicles to the Third Field Army Command, but I refused to transport them by carriage and determined to transport them on foot among our brave soldiers so that they would see them in order to raise their morale and fight.” “.
