Major General Mohamed Ibrahim, the candidate of the House of Representatives, “independent”, from the Department of Al-Qanater Al-Khayriya and Qalioub, died of his infection with the emerging “Corona” virus, which he contracted several days ago and was detained in a hospital until his death today.

A number of campaigns by the candidates of the House of Representatives mourned the deceased, affirming their sincere condolences to his family, loved ones and his electoral campaign, praying to God to bless him with the breadth of his mercy.

It is noteworthy that the late was born in 1954 and ran for Parliament elections in 2015 without luck, and took the position of Director of the Egyptian Interpol, a former Assistant Minister of Interior, and Director of Alexandria Security.

The late candidate ran for the House of Representatives elections this time independently, as he ran for the Qalioub and Qanatir constituencies, to compete with 36 candidates for 3 seats, including 3 candidates for the Future Nation Party and a candidate for each of the Egyptian Liberation Parties, Al-Wafd, Hama Al-Watan and the Egyptian Democratic Party, while 29 independent candidates are running in the elections, including 6 Ladies.
