Moroccan Raja announces that two players have been infected with the Corona virus before facing Zamalek


The Moroccan Sports Club announced, in an official statement, that two of the team’s players were infected with the new Corona virus, before the team’s upcoming confrontation against its counterpart Zamalek, tomorrow evening, Sunday, in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals.

Moroccan club Raja confirmed that all members of the team underwent a medical examination today, Saturday, to detect the Corona virus, according to the protocol followed by the Confederation of African Football, “CAF”, in preparation for the team’s match against Zamalek in the African Champions League scheduled for tomorrow evening, Sunday.

The Moroccan club stated that the results of the analyzes of all 41 members of the team, including players and a technical, medical and administrative apparatus, were negative, with the exception of two players, whose results were positive to confirm that they were infected with the new Corona virus.

Al-Raja Club did not reveal the identity of the players infected with the Corona virus among the team’s ranks, confirming that they were subject to the health protocol in effect to confront the emerging virus, to confirm their absence from the upcoming match against Zamalek tomorrow, Sunday, in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

The club Zamalek also announced the positive sample of the Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi after undergoing a medical test from his country’s national team camp, and the player will undergo a second analysis on Saturday evening to ensure that he is infected with the virus or not.
