Murtaza Mansour: I did not and will not resign from the presidency of Zamalek Club


Counselor Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, stressed, in statements to the club’s official website, the inaccuracy of the rumors that were circulating in the past hours of submitting his resignation from his post.

The president of the Zamalek club said, “The owners of these rumors are trying to shake the club’s stability and they are Qatar’s agents in Egypt,” adding, “I have not and will not resign from the presidency of Zamalek club.”

The Administrative Court of the State Council decided to postpone hearing the case of Mortada Mansour, President of the Zamalek Club, demanding the suspension of the decision issued by the Egyptian Olympic Committee, which obligated the management of the Zamalek Club to call for a general assembly to elect a new president for the club, instead of Mortada Mansour, who was suspended For practicing any sporting activity for a period of 4 years, for the next November 1st session.

The lawsuit, No. 2015 of the 75 judicial year, was concluded by the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Executive Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Hisham Hatab, Chairman of the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
