Government data monitored that Egyptian national exports recorded about one billion and 914 million dollars last August, distributed among a group of items, which are fuel, raw cotton, and raw materials, in addition to semi-finished goods, finished goods and electric energy.
The data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics dealt with the volume of national exports from the previous items, as raw cotton exports reached about 17 million and 253 thousand dollars last August, compared to 7 million and 805 thousand dollars in the same month in 2019, an increase of 9 million and 448 thousand Dollars, followed by fuel, whose exports reached 255 million and 22 thousand dollars last August.
And exports of raw materials recorded about 100 million and 689 thousand dollars last August, in addition to exports of semi-finished goods with a value of 518 million and 452 thousand dollars, then exports of finished goods with a value of one billion and 14 million dollars last August, compared to 901 million and 459 thousand dollars in the same month. In 2019, with an increase of 113 million and 533 thousand dollars, and finally, electrical energy exports, as the value of its exports amounted to about 7 million and 777 thousand dollars in last August, compared to 6 million and 215 thousand dollars in August 2019, with an increase of about one million and 562 thousand dollars.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics announced that the value of the trade balance deficit amounted to $ 3.02 billion during August 2020, compared to $ 3.80 billion for the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 20.5%.
