Pyramids continued his series of victories in the Egyptian Premier League championship after he succeeded in defeating Egypt Al-Maqsah (3-2), in the match that was held on Saturday evening at the El Mokawloon Stadium, in the 31st week of the competition.

Pyramids achieved its fifth successive victory in the competition, raising its score to 60 points in third place, to continue chasing second-ranked Zamalek with 64 points, knowing that three points will be deducted from the white at the end of the season.

On the other hand, clearing Egypt received its second consecutive defeat, to freeze its score at 40 points in seventh place in the league table.

Pyramids succeeded in opening the scoring by Ghanaian star John Antwi in the 30th minute of the match, after the player took advantage of a ground pass from his Burkinabe colleague Eric Traore to easily deposit it into the empty net.

The guests doubled the score in the 43rd minute, after Abdullah Al-Saeed passed the ball to Mohamed Farouk inside the penalty area, and the latter deposited it with his left foot into the clearing window after the ball passed between the feet of goalkeeper Mahmoud Hamdi.

In the 54th minute, the clearing Egypt succeeded in reducing the difference from a penalty kick that was counted by the referee after resorting to video technology, to be tackled by Mido Jaber and scored the first goal of his team to become the result (2-1).

Abdullah Al-Saeed returned to extend the difference to Pyramids after scoring the third goal in the 58th minute, as the international star took advantage of a wrong pass from goalkeeper Mahmoud Hamdy, to hit the ball with his head and went to the net.

In the 68th minute, the clearing Egypt scored the second goal in the net of Mahdi Suleiman through Ahmed Mohsen after a free kick by Mido Jaber, and the referee needed to resort to video technology, which proved the correctness of the goal and the player not infiltrating.
