The AFC announced today, Friday, that the 2020 AFC Champions League matches for the East will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha, following the agreement between the AFC and the Qatar Football Association.
The AFC stated on its website that the AFC Champions League competitions for the East will be held between November 18 and December 13, and the holding of these competitions comes after completing the West’s competitions with great success in Qatar.
The Iranian Persepolis had kidnapped the West Asian champion in the West Asian region at the expense of the Saudi victory, and those matches were held from the group stage to the semifinals during the period between September 14 and the third of October.
Al Sharq competitions will resume in the AFC Champions League by completing the group stage matches, then the round of sixteen, the eight-quarter and semi-final matches.
The final will be held on December 19, 2020, and the venue for the final will be announced at a later time.
