Reducing the prison sentence of Sama Al-Masry for accusing her of insulting the journalist Reham Said

The Cairo Economic Court of Appeal decided to accept the appeal of the show dancer Sama Al-Masry for a two-year prison sentence and a fine of 100,000 pounds, in accusing her of insulting and defaming the media, Reham Said.

The court ruled Sama’s imprisonment for 6 months and canceled the fine imposed on her.

Lawyer Shaaban Saeed, an agent for Reham Saeed, had submitted a complaint to the Attorney General, No. 11598 of 2019, the petitions of the Attorney General, against Mrs. Samia Ahmed Attia, famously known by Sama Al-Masry, on charges of insulting, defamation and violating the privacy of the complainant.

It is noteworthy that Sama al-Masry is being tried in two other cases for accusing her of inciting immorality and immorality, one of which was sentenced to imprisonment for 3 years, a fine of 300 thousand pounds and placed under supervision for a period of 3 years, and she filed an appeal against him, and the other case was postponed to the session on July 20.
