Lisa Montgomery was convicted in 2007

The US Department of Justice announced that it will carry out the first death sentence against a woman in the United States in nearly 70 years.

Lisa Montgomery was convicted of strangling a pregnant woman, removing her fetus from her gut and kidnapping it in Missouri in 2004.

Lisa is currently in prison awaiting execution on December 8th / Next December, a toxic injection.

The last woman to be executed by a federal court ruling was Bonnie Heidi who was gassed in Missouri in 1953.
