Arab newspapers and websites mourned the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and many writers expressed a state of sadness at the loss of an Arab leader who was wise, diplomatic and humanitarian.

While one book praised his national, Gulf, Palestinian, Arab and regional role, others pointed out that he left Kuwait “safe and comfortable.”

The 91-year-old prince passed away in the United States on Tuesday. Today, Wednesday, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was sworn in before the Kuwaiti National Assembly as the Emir of the country.

“Father of all is gone”

The main headline of the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, is: “We are sad for you,” and the newspaper says: “Kuwait is crying on the morning of wisdom and peace.”
