Moroccan reports said today, Tuesday, that the Wydad delegation is now on its way to Cairo, in preparation for facing Al-Ahly in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-finals.
Al-Ahly had succeeded in winning two goals without a response to Wydad in the first-leg match hosted by the Mohammed V Stadium on Saturday, with the return match to be held on the 24th of this October at Cairo Stadium.
According to the Moroccan newspaper “Al-Mukhtab”, the Wydad delegation headed a short while ago to the Egyptian capital in preparation for the meeting with Al-Ahly.
The newspaper added that the mission is headed by Said Nassiri, president of the Moroccan club, who was keen to travel with the players to raise their spirits and tighten their pain in order to appear in a way other than the one they did in the first leg.
It is worth noting that the winner of the Al-Ahly and Wydad match will meet the winner of the Zamalek and Al-Raja match in the Champions Final scheduled for November 6.
