Books – Youssef Afifi:
A source in the Ministry of Manpower revealed the date of the 500 EGP grant for irregular workers who registered to update their data on the Ministry and Cabinet websites during the period from 10 to 15 October.
The source explained, to Masrawy, that the concerned authorities are still checking the data of citizens who have updated their data from the irregular employment amounting to about 6 million and 22 thousand workers in preparation for determining the date of disbursement by the committee formed by the Prime Minister and the membership of the ministries of manpower, social solidarity, communications and supplies, and the authorities Other concerned.
He continued: It is expected that the fourth batch of the 500 EGP grant will be disbursed, the first of next November, as a maximum, after the completion of the data audit and the selection of the names eligible and already affected by the Corona virus.
He pointed out that the irregular employment that was previously spent during the previous three stages, and did not register to update its data again during this stage, will not get the grant, since updating the data again is a prerequisite for obtaining it.
The source noted that the date and place of payment for the beneficiaries will be sent to the registered mobile phone numbers, after identifying them during the next few days.
The names eligible for the irregular employment grant depend on the groups affected by the repercussions of the new Corona virus and those who work in informal sectors and do not have an insurance system.
For six days, from October 10 to October 15, the government opened the door for data registration on the irregular employment grant, through the link to the Cabinet’s website and the Ministry of Manpower’s website, estimated at 500 pounds.
It is worth noting that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to continue providing the grant to irregular workers until the end of this year, during the opening of the largest refinery in Egypt and Africa, in the Mostorod region in Qalyubia Governorate.
