Egyptian media said that the Egyptian artist, Mohamed Ramadan, ignored the people’s anger after publishing photos of him with famous people from Israel.
She explained that Ramadan posted a video from his recent visit to southern Egypt and said in an accompanying comment: “Good morning to those with clear hearts and wise minds, my dear Republic.”
Today, Monday, the Cairo Court for Urgent Matters has set the session of December 19, as the first session of the trial of the artist Mohamed Ramadan, on charges of offending the Egyptian people.
Tariq Mahmoud, a lawyer, filed the case with “urgent matters”, against the background of the circulation of pictures on social networking sites of the Egyptian artist with an Israeli artist named Omir Arm, in Dubai.
Mahmoud presented a warning at the hand of a report to the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions, calling on it to refer the artist, Mohamed Ramadan, to immediate investigation, and to expel him from the union’s schedules.
Ramadan commented on his account in a quick response, after the image spread: “There is no room for me to ask everyone about his identity and nationality,” in an attempt to avoid the storm caused by the image.
