A source in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) said that the Egyptian Football Association’s decision to prevent Mortada Mansour, President of Zamalek, will be implemented from attending the Champions League final.
It is scheduled to face Zamalek Al-Ahly in the final of the African Champions League next Friday.
The Egyptian Olympic Committee had previously decided to suspend the president of Zamalek Club from sporting activities for a period of 4 years.
A source in CAF said through Yallakora: “We will implement the Football Association’s decision, which prevents the president of Zamalek from attending the final.”
The Egyptian Olympic Committee issued a statement in the early hours of this morning, informing the Football Association of the need to prevent the president of Zamalek from attending the confrontation.
CAF had announced that the match would be held at Burj Al Arab Stadium next Friday evening, before Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Sports, confirmed that the final would be held at Cairo Stadium.
