The Libyan national team lost to Equatorial Guinea by three to two goals in the deadly time of the match that brought them together in the third round of the African Nations Qualifiers 2021 in Cameroon, which was held at Al-Ahly we Al-Salam stadium in Cairo.

Equatorial Guinea won its first 3 points in the qualifiers to finish third in Group Ten, which is led by Tunisia with 6 points.

Equally with second-placed Tanzania and last Libya, with 3 points.

The match was exciting and full of events between the two teams, and Guinea made the lead in the 33rd minute through Josette Miranda.

In the second half, Libya scored the equalizer through Sanad Al-Werfalli from a penalty kick in the 55th minute.

The awakening of the Libyan national team continued, and they scored the second goal in the 58th minute, through Muhammad bin Amer.

But in the calculated killer instead of lost, Equatorial Guinea surprised the Libyan players with two goals in two consecutive minutes by Pedro Mia Obiang and Salmon Obama.

To lose, the Libyan national team was just around the corner from reaching the sixth point in the group.
