“You don’t need to be an expert in football to see that Roberto Firmino suffers,” Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
He added, “The presence of Diogo Jota will motivate Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. We saw how that happened in the Atalanta match, but the competition to be in the starting lineup will be healthy.”
“There will be games in which Jurgen Klopp feels it is right to play in the four-wheeler, especially when he plays at Anfield against the teams that will defend.”
“Jota is great because he can play in any of the front positions and he will keep everyone on standby.”
He continued, “He was great against Atalanta when he played in the middle, while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane played on both sides.”
“There is no doubt that the four can play together and Klopp will know that he must find a way to bring Firmino to his best form again, because he is a great player,” he said.
Firmino has scored only one goal this season, while Jota has reached seven.
