Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed the readiness of Cairo Stadium to host the African Champions League final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek.
The Minister of Sports said in official statements: “The stadium is ready to host the match if circumstances require it.”
And he confirmed in other statements on Ontime Sports: “God willing, the match will be held in Cairo Stadium and not anywhere else.”
Al-Ahly will play Zamalek in the African Champions League final on November 27 at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Earlier, Walid Al-Attar, Executive Director of the Football Association, confirmed that the decision to transfer the African final from Burj Al Arab to Cairo Stadium is up to the CAF Competitions Committee.
