FilGoal | News | Sky: The English Football League decides to return to the 5-substitutions system

The English Football League (which runs the lower leagues in England) decided to return the five-substitutions system to matches after it was canceled before the start of the current season, according to a report published by Sky Sports.

The report said that the clubs voted to allow the return of the 5 substitutions in the match, starting next Friday in the Championship, the second division after the Premier League, “Premier League”.

The first match in the Championship will be in the 12th round of the league, between Coventry and Birmingham, on Friday at 9:45 pm Cairo time.

Each team will be allowed to play five players instead of five out of 3 times, except between the halves of the match.

The FIFA Council had announced that clubs would be allowed to make 5 substitutions, provided that they be used only 3 times, to complete the football seasons after they were suspended due to the outbreak of the “Covid 19” epidemic.

Since the resumption of football activity after being stopped due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, the English Premier League has allowed five substitutions during three periods with nine players on the bench.

The Premier League clubs had refused to continue the exceptional work with the five-substitutions system before the start of the new season, and had agreed to return to normal procedures.

The two halves of the match were also canceled for drinking water, given that the new season matches would be held under normal conditions and not during the hot summer months. And that decision was taken before the start of the new season.
